Thanksgiving Weekend~Thursday

Oh boy! What a day! We woke up early to make the Turkey Trot in Springdale. It was a small 5k. Most of the kids ran it and adults, too. Jack did really well and placed 5th in the 11 and under boys age group. His time was 26:31. Kate finished 3rd in the girls 11 and under age group running a 29:56. Elizabeth was 4th with a 30:11. I finished with Elizabeth and John finished just behind Kate (and ended up 3rd in his age group!). Braden, Abby and Ambria also were top finishers and earned medals.

After the race, the guys worked on the food (frying a turkey this year), the girls had a craft to do and also did a gingerbread house. They also kept busy playing basketball, football, gymnastics and everything else in the house they could find to play with. The boys played basektball and football and watched some football, too. After a delicious meal, we went to Crystal Bridges for a hike and then we watched the Bucky Ball for a while before going to downtown Bentonville to see the lights on the square! Wow, after all that, we came back for some dessert and then the little girls headed to the hotel for swimming and to sleep. Sarah, Julie, Ryann and Laura took Ambria and Emily to so a little early Black Friday shopping. Nothing too serious, we were back by 10:00. It was a fun-filled day with family.
