World Experience Day

Each year the school has a group of volunteers that transform the school into a different country or countries. This year it was Jamaica, Haiti, Puerto Rico and Cuba. There was a carnival with face painting, the children made moroccos, watched a play about a real story with the real star at the school, tested a bunch of different food, played cricket outside, weaved a basket, went to a quincenera, walked though the rainforest and saw the destruction from the hurricane, watched authentic Puerto Rican dancers and learned how to dance, played dominos, made sailboats and had races, listened to a News station interview people, learned how to play a Haiti game, made bookmarks, decorated sand and looked for shells in sand. They spent the whole day going from station to station learning a ton. Next year they are going to Poland!
