Tulsa Golf #7 Indian Springs Country Club--Tour Championship

We spent the day in Tulsa again. Today was the Tour Championships, so the kids earned double the points.  The girls went to every tournament, so they were trying really hard to be in the top five to earn a plaque. Jack missed one due to his AJGA tournament. Elizabeth had her best day, low round of 44 tying for 3rd. She had one bad hole with an 8 and ended with a birdie. Kate had her season low, too with a 48. Anna struggled with one hole in the sand and made a 10 on that one, so her round was not her best. She finished the season in 5th and Elizabeth finished 4th. Jack had his lowest score ever. I watched/caddied for him the first 9 holes and he was even after 9 when I had to leave to caddie for Anna and Kate. He finished tied for first and won the play-off hole. It was the first time he has won one of these tournaments. He finished 3rd over all for the season in points. He also is playing in a jr. member tournament at the Blessings and he won the first two rounds, one last night to his good buddy, Brayden, playing really well. It is amazing how the game of golf can go from one extreme to another. He hit his low point two weeks ago, shooting a 97. Today, he was a completely different kid.

Jack has played with Gavin for the last four years. They were so much fun to watch today. They genuinely want the best for each other and helped each other out every shot. I love this part of golf for Jack. The boys are growing up to be good people, not just golfers. Even though Gavin lives in Broken Springs, OK, he will be a friend for life.

Last night we went on a bike ride to get some miles for our Slay the Distance fundraiser for school. Jack tried to ride without hands...and fell about four miles from home. He scraped up his knee, bruised his left thigh, scraped his face, elbow and wrist. He had a hard time reading a putt and was doing like a push up. I was joking this was helping his short game, which it did I guess because he kept making putts! John thought hitting his head helped his game! I think it just slowed him down enough to think about things.
