First Tee of Central Arkansas- Monk Wade ASGA

The kids participated in the Monk Wade ASGA tournament in Little Rock the past two days. It was a 36 hole tournament, but the first 9 each day was a short par 3 course. Jack was 1 under on the front 9 the first day, then he was 5 over on the back. On the second day, he was 3 over on the front (couldn't find a green) and 2 over on the back. He finished tied for 30 out of 71 boys. Kate played really well on the front the first day and finished 1 under. She was 8 over on the back, but no bad holes. She was in second place.  She was 3 over on the front on day two, and was only 4 over on the back with no bad holes and leading until hole 18. But she had a triple on it, so she ended up second overall. Anna was 3 over on the front and 7 over on the back on day one. and she started with a triple on the second day (6 over on the front) but finished well with 4 over on the back. She had her first eagle on day one. She finished third overall. Elizabeth was 4 over on the front on the first day and very even on the back with 4 over. On the second day, she was 4 over on the front and she had a little mental breakdown on the back. She missed a very short birdie putt on 13 and lost it from there. She it in the trees a few times on the next hole, then OB a few times on the next. She finished with 16 over on the back...one of her worst rounds by far. She did get it together at the end and finished with a par on 18. It was a hot two days with the temps near 100* but a nice way to spend Mother's Day.
