The girls love this race. It is raced under lights at night and there are pacing lights, good music and great competition. We left on Wednesday and did an unofficial visit to Ole Miss since it was on the way to Alabama. We met with the coach and did a tour of the campus and then had coffee. The girls liked the campus, program, coach and facilities. We left Thursday and drove the rest of the way to Huntsville. Kate and Elizabeth raced the 3200 Friday evening. They were in the second fastest heat so they were introduced which was fun. Elizabeth set a PR, running 10:38.79 and finished second in her heat. Kate ran a season best and less than a second from her PR 11:01.74. On Saturday, all three raced the mile. Kate and Elizabeth were in the third fastest heat. Elizabeth ran a PR of 4:59.35 full mile and 4:57.66 1600m. Kate ran 5:04.58 full mile and 5:02.84 1600m, just seconds from her PR. Anna is still getting back from her injury and ran a 5:16.57 full mile and 5:14.07 1600m. She was in the second fastest heat and was introduced before the race.
