St. Patrick's Day

We spent the weekend in Indiana visiting family. It was a great time. The girls love their older girl cousins and they constantly talk about them. I don't think Elizabeth left Erin's side the entire day on Saturday. Jack had a blast with Amy, Nicki and Noah. I think at one point there was a sign on the basement door that said no one could come down unless they had one million dollars or a light saber.

Sunday we had brunch after church with Grandmother and Grandfather Poinsatte and the Szczepanski's at Grandmom's house. The Szczepanski's were not there too long so I didn't get any pictures of the cousins.

Breakfast was green applesauce, green melon and green milk!

Noah told us he usually doesn't like white milk, but he likes green milk a lot!

Helping Grandmom with brunch!

Great Grandfather wanted the girls to wear name tags.

The applesauce turned green!

Love this one with Great Grandmother and Kate

Brunch of green eggs, green applesauce, bagels, green cream cheese bars, potatoes and fruit.

The girls helping to spot wash the floor after lunch.

Love the way these next few pictures turned out

A favorite of mine, too!

This one I think Anna and Granddad have the same smile in!

Granddad got tired so he started to throw up the stuffed animal instead of the girls.

Love this one, too.

Our Week

More of the same...dance, library and school. But we have fun! Jack is feeling better and is back in school. He was super excited to go and watch the girls' dance class on Tuesday, but then he colored the entire time and kept asking when it was going to be over. Silly boy. He told me he would rather stick with basketball and baseball than dance. Jack also beat me in Monopoly three times this week! And, he finished his first chapter book, The Magic Tree house: Night of the Ninjas.

Shamrock craft

Deep in concentration

Discovery works. The girls love this alphabet puzzle.

Rain Record

If there ever was a record for the number of times of buckling in children with wet raincoats into a five point harness and unbuckling them, then dragging them (all four) in the rain to and from places, I think I could have broke it today. Between getting Carter to the vet (for a mouth surgery and teeth cleaning--and he is fine by the way) and bringing him home this evening, taking the girls to and from preschool, dropping off dinner to a mom with a new baby, going to the bank, the pediatrician's office (Jack has strep), and Walmart to pick up an antibiotic, I was in the car all but about an hour this afternoon. After picking up Jack's prescription around 4:00 PM, I decided I was tired and with only an hour to kill before we had to pick up Carter, I decided I was not going to go home to feed my kids a dinner that had not yet been  prepared, so we swung by Arby's which I don't ever really do. The kids were excited for chicken and french fries and I was excited that I would not have to feed them dinner and clean up my kitchen when I got home.

My sick little boy

Waiting patiently for the doctor to come in.

This is how we roll through Walmart. As if we don't attract enough attention, Elizabeth decided to ask me while checking out new toothbrushes for Jack:
"Mom, does dad potty standing up?"

Followed up with:
"Does Jack potty standing up? And you potty sitting down."

And the girls continued to ask these types of questions, laughing all the way to the check-out lane.

Sunday Outside

After the safety fair, we went to the Curran's house to play. Jack played with a few boys in his class and the girls played with their outside toys. After about thirty minutes or so, Jack asked Mr. Curran to take his temperature because his head hurt. He ended up having a fever so we went home. Jack took some Motrin and the girls and I went back outside to enjoy the 60+ degree day. After a little while, he joined us outside. I think the Motrin was working. Our neighbors came out, too and we played after John came home for a while. It was a beautiful day! A taste of spring!

Getting ready to leave the Curran's

Love Anna's hopscotching in the background!

They are still learning the one-legged hop.
