One Year Birthday Party!

We celebrated the girls' birthday today with a lot of family and friends. It turned out to be a nice day despite a few rain drops in the morning. The girls were loving all the company and attention! And, the cake was a lot of fun, too. It was a busy day and I tried to get pictures, but I realized I don't have any of John and none of John and I with the triplets. Oh, well, that is what it is like when you have a party for one-year-old triplets!

Here they are on their birthday--Elizabeth, Kate and Anna

My mom made the cakes--they looked so nice we didn't want to cut into them to eat them!

The girls spent a lot of time in their play room. Although, not in this picture, we saw Kate for the first time sing into the microphone of the piano. I think she picked this up from seeing Jack do it. It was pretty cute to see.

This is one of my favorite pictures from their birthday. I like that you can sort of see their bloomers with their names on their behinds.
Getting ready for cake. We sang to each girl separately.

Ready to dig in!

Kate didn't really like to get all that messy. Elizabeth liked to play more than eat the cake and Anna was serious about getting that cake in her mouth.

After the cake, they needed a bath! This is the first time they have been in the tub all at once!

After the long day, Elizabeth was a little under the weather. She had a fever and was fussy. There were really no other illness symptoms and the next day she was fine, she must have picked up a little virus somewhere.

We got the girls a triple doll stroller for their birthday.
Mimi bought them Bitty Babies. They like the dolls, but Jack really enjoys them!
Amy and Jack were playing "triplets" with the babies. Jack has not stopped playing with the dolls since the party. He diapers them, dresses them, uses wipes, lotion and puts on their PJs. I guess he has been paying attention to what has been going on around at our house for the last year!

We are glad to have made it through the party and so glad to spend time with everyone that helped us survive the first year.
