Rogers City Championship 8U

Well, it didn't end up the way the girls had hoped. They lost 10-11 in the championship game tonight. It was tough for the girls that didn't lose all year! But, it is life. The other team played really well and hit the ball great. Kate went three for three with two scored runs. Anna was two for three (ground out) and Elizabeth was two for three (ground out) and two scored runs. Seven of the ten girls can stay at this level next year, so they should be a pretty good team next spring. It was sad that some of their friends are 2008 birthdays and will move up next year though.

I kept their sats this spring and their batting averages were really good. They have come a long way from last fall. Kate had only three strike outs, Elizabeth had four and Anna had five all year.
