Bedtime Traditions

We have many things we do in the evenings before bedtime. Sometimes it is a game, sometimes it is magna tiles, sometimes a movie. The girls are really into the games right now and Jack, too, but he doesn't like to play with the girls. Jack loves the game Money, Money. The girls are loving Zingo! right now. We always read for about a half an hour after brushing teeth and the girls like to pick out the books. Once we are finished, Jack will read with John or me.

She was so proud of her tower

The kids love this book. We have been reading it every day! The girls point to every picture and ask if it is our house. Jack likes the accuracy of the detail of the book (Santa flies over the Artic Ocean, Canada and Missouri before getting to Bentonville. He lands his sleigh on the tree in the town square). Jack recently told me when I asked him if he wanted to write a letter to Santa that a letter would never make it to the North Pole, because "you can't drive over the Artic Ocean..." I had to explain to him that letters and packages can fly on planes. He had to think about this and answered me, "I didn't know that." He is a geography boy.
