Eureka Springs, AR

Today we decided to drive to Eureka Springs about an hour east of us through the Ozarks because we had heard it is beautiful this time of year. Well, the ride was very pretty---to us. The kids didn't appreciate it like we did. And although the ride was very windy and hilly, the mountain fresh air was perfect and the views made up for it. Once we got to Eureka Springs, we realized we were not the only people with this idea...and Eureka springs is basically a "main street" type of town, with one street leading in and one street leading out. But after we found parking and a nice little place for lunch, we found that with full little bellies we could walk around a little. We found a nice candy shop (just what we need right now with all the Halloween candy in our house) and we let the kids pick out something (bubble tape times four) and we got some pumpkin fudge and peanut butter/chocolate fudge, too.

I took a lot of pictures on the way home. And these pictures do not do it justice!
