Disney~Wednesday February 24th MAGIC KINGDOM

Well, it decided to rain this morning. Which turned out great since we didn't have anything planed until 11:00 brunch and it was our second day at Magic Kingdom. By the time we finished lunch, it had stopped raining. It sprinkled just for a bit a little in the afternoon, but we ended up lucky with weather. It also cleared out the park, and it was way less crowded than it was on Monday.

We did use our ponchos to walk to the shuttle which took us to Magic Kingdom. Then we took the monorail to the Grand Floridian Resort to 1900 Park Fare for Brunch. We had what we decided was the best food to date at the brunch. They had Mickey waffles, eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, bagels, donuts, muffins, omelets, cereal, hash browns, fruit...everything and anything you could want for breakfast. The kids are very well at the buffet. We saw Mad Hatter, Mary Poppins, Tiger, Pooh and Alice in addition to eating our wonderful brunch.

After brunch, we headed back to the Magic Kingdom to use our fast passes. We first rode space mountain because there was not a very long wait (about 30 minutes), then we immediately used our fast passes to ride it again (except Mimi and I sat the second one out), The kids loved space mountain. After that ride, we used our fast passes to ride splash mountain (except Mimi who was still feeling nauseous from space mountain) which we all got a little wet, but really liked. Mimi, the girls and I then used our fast passes to meet Anna and Elsa while John and Jack went to Big Thunder Railroad. After, we all met up and watched the parade again. After the parade, we went into the President's Hall and watched the presentation John and Jack watched on Monday. It was really good. At the end of the speech, there were wax figures of all the presidents that the girls kept asking if they were real! We caught the taking down of the flag at the entrance of the park at 5:00. This is one of the oldest traditions at Disney. There is a ceremony where the flag is taken down and given to a special Veteran guest. After that, John and Jack went to the Wilderness Lodge for dinner while Mimi, the girls and I grabbed a quick service meal of mac-n-cheese and nachos and churros. After dinner, we found a great spot to watch the Electrical parade in the dark. We were right in front of the castle so after the parade we stayed in the same spot to watch the castle light projection show "Celebrate the Magic" before the fireworks--Wishes Nighttime Spectacular. Then, it was time to catch the shuttle back to the hotel and head to bed. It was a fun day, but we were all really tired.
