Italy: Tuesday March 25th

We got a few pastries for breakfast and then had a driver pick us up to drive us to Tuscany. It was about a three hour drive and once we got out of Rome (which is old and dirty), it was very rural with little towns along the way and we noticed no advertising signs or fast food! We stopped at three little towns. Tuscany was beautiful with green rolling hills. The first town was called San Quirico d'Orcla. They had a really pretty bath but not much was open because it is a small town and it isn't busy season yet. We stopped at the next town, Pienza, and had lunch and walked in and out of the shops. There was more open there and a pretty garden. The last town, Monticchiello and got some coffee. All the towns in the area have walls around them because they built them to protect from enemies. We drove home in time to get some more gelato and go to bed.
