Trick-or-Treat

This kids had a lot of fun trick-or-treating this year. Before trick-or-treating, we had KFC and cookies. After we were done, the older kids had hot chocolate and hot apple cider. After eating dinner, we headed out to the houses. Jack, we knew would love it, but the girls did so well! They knew exactly what they were doing. They rode in their wagon between houses, got out, ran up to the door, Jack rang the doorbell and they would put the candy in their pumpkins. Anna, when given the chance would grab fist fulls of candy. Elizabeth would shout, "Thank-you!" as the girls were turning around to go down the steps and the would all run to the wagon. It was fun to watch them! I am not sure Kate and Anna realized they were getting candy, but Elizabeth did. She was biting into candy bars, wrapper and all, between houses. Jack got tired and he would sit in the wagon too. Grandmom came with us and Aunt Susie and Rudi walked with us. Claire and Amy started with us, but then they met up with friends. It was a nice time. A lot of people liked their costumes and we had a few people take their pictures. One old man told us seeing them made his day! The girls were tired after the long evening! And Jack was too!
