Thomas' Birthday Party

In the afternoon, we celebrated Thomas' birthday. When we got there, I saw a cake for me! How nice! Thanks Neil and Ryann for thinking of me!
Little girls looking at the cakes...I think there were a few fingers in the icing, haha!

I think Alexa just got some icing!

Singing to Thomas--he was embarassed

There is he is!

All the kids had a great time playing together and it was a beautiful day!

Grandmom's and Granddad's House!

We decided to take a trip to Fort Wayne. It was something to look forward to after school started. Today, the kids helped Grandmom freeze the basil, pick up acorns and looked at all the new apple, peach and pear trees that were planted before going to Thomas' birthday party in the afternoon. They love to see Grandmom and get so excited when we turn on the "rocky road."

Too bad none of the girls are looking!

Love this one! Grandmom is showing the kids the apple trees.

Milking a Cow?

After story time today, which was centered around barn animals, they let the children "milk" a cow. It was actually done very well with a rubber glove filled with water and pin sized holes. Kate couldn't get enough of it---she had a hard time leaving the cow!

What I want to be when I grow up

Ever since we saw the Cleveland Clinic helicopter last week, Jack as been saying he wants to be a doctor when he grows up and work at the Cleveland Clinic. This week for show-n-tell the kids are supposed to talk about what they want to be when they grow up. Jack has a stethoscope ready to go for tomorrow. Here is his journal entry for today:

Play-Doh

I am not going to lie. Play-Doh is not a favorite of mine. Actually, I don't like it at all. The problem is, my kids all love it. So we compromise and play with it outside. I cleaned the basement last week and came across a ton of Play-Doh tools/toys that I had stuck up high on a shelf. So I pulled them out and they have been playing with them every day...outside! Today we were outside from 1 until after 5 PM!

It's That Time of Year Again...

I saw somewhere that it is 15 weeks until Christmas. And Jack's birthday. We always start early. Thinking about what we need/want for him. Yesterday we browsed the internet. Jack found a "few" items.

I have picked up a few of these items already--good thing they made his list!
