Saying Good-Bye to Erin

We had a great week with Erin! It was a lot of fun and she was so helpful. Thanks for visiting us Erin! The kids are already missing her. It is a good think she is coming back for Easter in a few weeks with the rest of the Scudder clan.

Jones Center

Last day of spring break fun! We went to the Jones center that has an indoor pool with slide. The water was a little cold, but the kids had a great time. John and I had to get in to take the girls down the slide (with Erin) and I was hoping the water was slightly warmer. John was hoping to sit in the chair the whole time...The kids didn't care about the water temperature (probably because it was WAY warmer than our pool the night before), however and we went down that slide probably ten times.

Anna loved it! She was dancing in the water.

Crazy Kids

They kept begging to swim. We kept telling them the water was really cold. We let them dip their feet in thinking it would be enough to realize how cold the water was. They still wanted to go in. It was only about 70 degrees outside and windy. The water had to be 40/50 degrees.

Kate and Elizabeth went down the slide. Anna went off the diving board. I have these on video. Anna was almost crying when she hit the water. However, Anna got out and decided to go down the slide? She did cry the second time it was so cold!
Kate was going to jump in off the diving board, but decided to go off the side of the pool instead. This was after she went down the slide once.

Jack chickened out (smart boy). He was supposed to go in if Erin went in.
Erin got in, too. She said when she hit the water it was so cold she almost forgot where she was!

Houston: Day Three Astro Tour

We toured the Astro stadium today. The girls got a little bored, but some parts were pretty neat to see. Sarah met us there and toured with us. After the tour, we went to a bridge under the Bayou where you can press a button and the Bayou will "burp." It actually doesn't make a noise, but it makes a big bubble. Unfortunately, it started to rain and I didn't get any pictures of the burping Bayou.

Later in the evening, we took the kids to the famous Mexican restaurant with the play set. It had stopped raining, so the kids enjoyed playing outside while we ate dinner.

We had a great trip to Houston and enjoyed playing with cousins--can't wait to go back!

We were not allowed on the grass, but we could walk around the warning track

This one is feeling much better!

This one started with fever and sore throat...more antibiotics!
At dinner, Uncle John was doing magic tricks for Erin and Jack. He was quite entertaining!
Kids played while we ate (and Uncle John did tricks)

Houston: Day Two Galveston Beach

After the ranch, we drove to Galveston. The kids loved the beach and even got in the water (cold!). Aunt Sarah brought some food for the sea gulls. Jack loved feeding them!

After the beach, we ate at Rainforest Cafe. It was a very fun fulled day.
