Girls' Well Checks

The girls had their well check today. This morning, as I took Jack to school and was driving to the pediatrician, I realized the girls would need their kindergarten shots today and I didn't really think about bringing "help" until that moment...Well, I would just have to go with the flow.

The girls are all very healthy. They each got their shots (two each) and Kate and Elizabeth got CBCs drawn as well. Anna and Kate were fighting over who got to go first to get their shots (I think they wanted their suckers). Anna went first and she was my one and only screamer. After the shot, she didn't want to walk on her leg! So dramatic. The nurses were great and took two out of the room so they didn't have to watch the shots before it was their turn. Kate went next, then Elizabeth. Neither cried for their shots or their lab draw. I consider that really good! Kate and Anna are going to be evaluated for their speech in the next few weeks. Other than that, they are ready to go to kindergarten in the fall (how in the world did that happen?)

Anna: Grew 4.25 inches and gained 6.5 pounds since last April. She is 41.25 inches (40th percentiles) and 36 pounds (37th percentile). Wow! She has really grown!

Elizabeth: Grew 3 inches and gained 4#. She is 39.5 inches (12th percentile) and 30 pounds (3rd percentile)

Kate: Grew 3.5 inches and gained 6.5 pounds. She is 40.5 inches (25th percentile) and 35 pounds (25th percentile)

I realize the girls are not quite 5 yet, but to compare, Jack at age 5 was 44 inches and 44 pounds.
