Wilderness Safari

We took the kids to the Wilderness Safari. It is about a 40 minute drive from our house into deep Arkansas. Ambria told me on the way there that this is what she pictured Arkansas to look like (very county living, farms, small towns. i.e. We saw a sign for Springtown, population 83). The safari is a drive by zoo with a petting zoo area. Unfortunately, once we got about half way through the driving part, it started to rain and the temperature dropped about 15 degrees. During the drive we saw some strange animals. One bird in particular walked right up to our car (there were signs everywhere to keep windows up at all times) and stared in the car. It caught Ambria by surprise when she turned her head and saw it peeking in our car. She said,"well, hello there." Maggie said, "get down bird!" It was funny. We finished the drive and went to the petting zoo part, but we didn't stay long because of the rain (and cold!). We had planned to picnic, but we ended up driving back to Bentonville and eating at Chic-Fil-A instead. In the evening, Marie when to the girls tumbling class. They had a great time.

Kangaroos. One had a baby in it's pouch

This one had the baby. You could only see a little foot sticking out
