Elizabeth is in an Open Crib

We continue to be pleasantly surprised when we walk into the NICU. Today we saw Elizabeth in an open crib and Kate should be moving into a crib later on today. Anna and Elizabeth both passed their hearing test (Kate hasn't had hers yet) and all three have gained weight again. Today Elizabeth is 3 lbs 3 oz., Anna is 4 lbs 5 oz., and Kate is 3 lbs 14 oz. Kate actually takes over for the most weight gain past her birth weight! They are all eating well still (I must produce excellent eaters...think of their older brother Jack!). They are eating as much as they want now with a minimum amount to take each feeding. All three are taking over an ounce now. This seems like so much considering they started with feedings of less than a teaspoon! Anna and Kate were seen by the physical therapist today and checked out "perfect". They will be followed in the NICU and after due to the size differences of each of them. I spoke with the PT today and she gave me some pointers on what to do when I get home with them. John spoke with the neonatologist this morning and she suggested they may be coming home in the next few days, most likely staggered, with Anna first, and the other two to follow soon after. Anna may be home for Labor Day.

This is Elizabeth in her crib. She always has that arm over her face.
