Mickey's House: March 30 through April 1st

We left bright and early on Friday morning, just the kids and me, and headed to Cincinnati to meet up with the rest of the family. We traveled with the Frazier family, Aunt Cindy and Jake and Mimi and Aunt Mary. From Cincinnati, I had an extra driver, Aunt Cindy, and we made it just past Atlanta despite sitting in two hours of traffic in Tennessee. John decided to fly down on Saturday--last minute-- despite the amount of work he would have when he returned. He missed a lot of traffic. It took us 24 total hours to get to Orlando, instead of 18-19 hours! We picked John up from the airport Saturday afternoon and spent Saturday evening in the pool. Sunday, after a Catholic mass at a church in a strip mall--literally next to a tattoo parlor-- we spent the day in the pool as well. The house had a beautiful pool that was screened in to keep the bugs and lizards out. I would guess the water temperature was around 80 degrees and it was close to 90 degrees outside. Jack loved the pool. He swam all day Sunday! The girls loved the water too and there were enough people to take them in and out of the pool. Kate had NO fear and was jumping off the highest ledge into the pool. Anna was most reserved in the pool and liked to be held. Elizabeth was a little more timid with the jumping, but loved to float in her life jacket.

Ready for day two of the drive!
