Jack and I watched Sound of Music tonight. I had to explain parts of the movie. Here is one part of the conservation that just made me smile.
Me: "The nazis started WWII."
Jack: "Like Grandfather fought in?"
Me "Yes. Captain Von Trapp didn't want to join the nazis so he had to leave his country."
Jack. "So Grandfather was on Captain Von Trapp's side."
Yes he was.
Love every bit of that statement from my son. Sound of music is a huge part of our family and I love that he was interested in watching it with me.
I also love what he knows and remembers about Grandfather .
