The Arch of Constantine was erected by the Roman Senate to commemorate Constantine I's victory over Maxentius at the Battle of Milvian Bridge on October 28, 312.

Case Romane del Celio

Case Romane del Celio ~ The Roman houses beneath the church of Ss. Giovanni and Paolo.  The Basilica now stands over a magnificent residential complex comprising several Roman houses of different periods.

 Ninfeo di Proserpina

The Antiquarium exhibits archaeological finds from the houses and the Basilica.  Its principal attraction is a large collection of Islamic pottery dating from around the twelfth century, which had originally been used to embellish the medieval bell-tower of the church.

 Cheers!!

 Neil's giant beer!

 Neil's calzone was huge, too!

Definitely a great restaurant in Rome!
