Trip to Houston: Tuesday, August 2nd: Faces and Swimming

On Tuesday morning we went to a nearby park because there was a petting zoo scheduled for the public. It turned out to be a pretty small area--there were only a few goats, rabbits and chickens and because it was so hot, we weren't there very long. The girls never made it out of their stroller. On the way to the park, Sarah detoured us to show us these plaster faces of each of the Presidents. Apparently there is some guy that molds the faces of the Presidents...for fun...I guess. It was in an odd place, too, right behind a Target. Anyway, we browsed the faces for a few minutes picking out the ones we knew.

After lunch, we picked up an extra hand--Allie is Sarah's sister-in-law--to go to a little pool and splash park. I didn't get any pictures of the big boat with slides that Jack had fun on, but he also went down a smaller slide. Kate loved the slide and went down by herself, fell into the water at the bottom, went under, rolled over and got up and laughed. Anna and Elizabeth were not fans of going under water and would only go down the slide one some one's lap. Marie was a little fish--she couldn't get enough of the water. I guess you can tell she is the daughter of two pretty good swimmers!

Can you name any of the Presidents?

These two are easy!
