Jack's T-ball game was cancelled today. We ran some errands and did some cleaning and packing.

Fun Day at the Pool

Today was the last day of the second session of swim lessons. Jack has been going now every day for 4 weeks! He finished level two and has a week off before he will start his last two weeks of lessons. Today, they let the kids have a fun day. They could go down the slide, jump off the diving board and the high dive. Jack jumped off the diving board twice. He went up to the high dive, but didn't jump in...too scared! Maybe next time! After the pool, we went back to the Green Box craft table they have at the park near the pool and Jack spent at least a half an hour gluing squares to a lizard. The girls just colored their picture. After lunch, we went home...to the inside. It is way too hot out there to play.

I missed his jump in the air, he is in the water now, with his swim teacher catching him.

The high dive attempt...

Too nervous. His teacher had to go get him at the end of the board.

Two Down, Two to Go!

I have mentioned Jack has recently stopped wetting the bed. On Saturday night, I tried all the girls in underwear since Anna is dry 99% of the time and Kate is mostly dry. Elizabeth wets pretty much every night, but I thought, why not give it a try with her too? All three stayed dry. On Sunday night, I wasn't so lucky and only Anna was dry. Since then, Anna has stayed dry and Kate, even though I put her back in a pull-up has been dry too. I am down to NO diapers and only two kids in pull-ups at night (and I think Kate is close to being done with them).

Having said that, this morning John found the girls with wet hair and a potty seat (we keep on in the girls' room) with splashes everywhere. We think they decided to "play" in their potty. Always something to keep us on our toes. One step forward, half step back!

Tuesday's Preschool Fun

I had to write about Jack and our time today while the girls were at preschool. I always give him the choice of what we are going to do. Today, he told me no water. I thought that was a good idea because it has been a little cooler. So, he debated over Target and the Mall. He decided on the mall so he could ride the train. Unfortunally, the train was not running today because they had tables set up for a presentation tomorrow. But, I think he had fun anyway. We walked in Macy's and he wanted to ride the escalator, so we did a few times. Then, he wanted to get some gum out of the gum ball machines. Next, we went into Bath and Body because I needed some shower gel and they were having their semi-annual sale. He picked out a few small bottles of hand sanitizer and one bottle of shower gel for himself. Pretzels were next followed by a stop in the Disney Store. He wanted quite a few things there, but was good about me telling him we were not buying anything today. He wanted to play in the play area so we did and finally, he left a few minutes early (believe me, he was keeping track of the time on his watch and saying things, like, "We have one more hour...33 minutes until we have to leave...") to ride the escalator and elevator a few more times. I guess that is what he wanted to do during his time with me. Silly boy!

Speaking of preschool, the girls are loving it! They get excited when I pull in the parking lot. They tell me constantly that "Mommy always be back." There is a TV monitor to watch them during class and it is cute to see them dance, jump and sing for a few minutes. The teacher said they are doing fine. Kate sometimes gets in a "mood" she called it, where she doesn't want to do things and I can totally relate to this!

Here are a few pictures of the park today. After the swimming lessons, the park, and the library we headed to preschool drop off and then the mall and finally home. Whew! What a busy day away from home!

Love the Lake behind the girls at this park. So pretty to look at!

Cleveland Zoo

Since it was only supposed to be in the 70s today, I packed lunches and went straight to the zoo after swim lessons. I think everyone else in Cleveland thought the same thing! Plus, the zoo is free on Mondays to those that live in Cuyahoga county. So, needless to say it was packed. The kids do like the zoo. A favorite is the flamingos. Ask them about it next time you see them. They know they are pink, how they sleep and Elizabeth think they have swim suits on because they are near the water. Elephants are another favorite.

I still feel like we could be on exhibit at the zoo. We stopped to eat lunch and I felt like people were watching us, commenting frequently and stopping to talk. Maybe we should set up a camp there and the zoo could pay us. All the money would go directly to the college funds.

I "met" (like I often do) another mom with 13 year old quads--all girls. Surprisingly, she is from Fort Wayne and went to North Side. She is quite a bit older than me, but such a small world. We chatted about our kids for a few minutes.

Saturday--Last day of the Sale

On Saturday, the kids played outside during the sale. Jack had a T-ball game that the older Druelle kids went to. The little girls were having a blast outside together.

It was a fun visit. Jack was especially sad to see them go. And Anna...she cried when Julie's van pulled out of the driveway. "Aunt Dewey!" she said.

Park Craft

Here are some pictures of the craft my children did today. Every day in Avon Lake there are craft tables set up at certain parks and the park we go to during Jack's swim lessons is one of them. I just found out about them, so today we tried them. The girls (and Jack) love to glue and color anything!

Druelle Visit

The Druelles came for a visit and to help with a garage sale. It was busy on Wednesday night. Granddad played with the kids outside in the sprinkler. Thursday, Granddad took the older kids to the pool. Thankfully he was there to help watch the kids! I think they had fun! Friday, I took the kids to the splash pad during Jack's swim lesson while Julie stayed back at the garage sale.

I included quite a few pictures of the splash pad. The looks on the girls' faces...pure joy. I couldn't leave them off of here. Ahh, to be a kid again in the summer! I also included a few pictures of Jack's lesson. He is improving!

The little girls having a blast running and dancing! Alexa and Elizabeth were laughing so hard their eyes were closed!
