Today, I got up early and ran around the Island. It was cool and crisp and perfect running weather. There is a paved path around the entire island. The backside of the island is mostly a State Park and pretty much forests and beaches. Running right next to the Lake is so great. Halfway into my run, I could see the Mackinaw Bridge across the Lake. Beautiful. Even thought it was an eight mile run, I could run it every morning! After breakfast, we walked around on the beautiful Grand Hotel grounds. The kids got to run around and get rid of some energy. Elizabeth and Jack loved the fountain and despite the temperature being in the 50s and windy, they both managed to get wet and Elizabeth would have hopped right in if we let her. After leaving the hotel, we had some time to kill, so we walked the kids to a park and stopped and played for a little while before it was time to catch our ferry.

Typical Kate running away from us. My guess she is laughing in this picture if we could see her face!
